Upper School Math Teacher

The Berkeley Carroll School is a Pre-K through grade 12 college-preparatory school of almost 1,000 students located in the Park Slope section of Brooklyn in New York City. Our vibrant learning environment draws students from all over the city. Admission to the school is competitive, and both our parents and students value achievement and community.

Berkeley Carroll seeks an experienced math teacher with a love of teaching and strong content knowledge across the high school math curriculum.  Candidates should be eager to join a committed, collaborative, and collegial upper school math department and to engage in conversations around curriculum, assessment, and equity.

In addition to teaching, faculty members are expected to be engaged members of our school community by advising a group of students and by facilitating a student club, leading an affinity space, joining faculty committees, and/or coaching a team.

 Qualifications

  • BA in Math, Math Education or related field
  • Formal experience and knowledge related to mathematics and teaching 
  • Experience teaching math to high school students (preferred)
  • Knowledge of and comfort with teaching a broad range of mathematics (Geometry, Algebra 2, Precalculus, Calculus, Statistics, and college-level math courses).

Salary and benefits are highly competitive and will be offered commensurate with experience and credentials. The annual salary range for this full time position is 75K-115K.
