Upper Schoolers Explore Careers at Annual Symposium clone

Freshmen, sophomores and juniors learned about different fields of work at BC's 4th annual Career Symposium.

Dennis Masel, BC parent and founder and former CEO of Creative Circle and founder of The Jeanne and Dennis Masel Foundation, gave the keynote address. He took students through the story of choosing a college, training in the Navy, and his career in advertising and entertainment.

Students then heard from nearly 30 other BC parents, alumni, and faculty on 12 different panels — Arts and Fashion; Business and Finance; Culinary Arts; Education and Public Service; Engineering; Health and Human Services, Law, Politics, and Activism; Marketing, PR and Advertising; Media and Journalism; Real Estate; Sports and Entertainment; and Writing and Publishing.

Upper School Girls Tour NYU Science Labs

As part of the World Science Festival 2015, 10 Upper School girls got the chance to tour two physics labs, an anthropology lab and a chemistry lab at New York University!

They also spoke with the female professors running the labs and heard a talk by Wendy Suzuki, a professor of neural science and psychology who just released the book "Healthy Brain, Happy Life."
