Planned Giving

The Atwood Society, named in honor of Ina Clayton Atwood, distinguished headmistress of the Berkeley Institute from 1917 to 1947, recognizes those individuals who have made provisions for Berkeley Carroll through a bequest or other planned gift. By doing so, they have helped to secure the future of the school. If you have made a bequest or other planned gift naming Berkeley Carroll, please let us know so that we may add your name as a member of the Atwood Society.

Planned giving includes many different strategies to help individuals provide for Berkeley Carroll’s future while meeting their own financial, tax, and personal objectives. The simplest strategy is a bequest, however, gifts of real estate, life insurance, and IRA’s, among other assets can help donors achieve their estate planning objectives while making a gift to the school.
