Volleyball Camp

The Berkeley Carroll Volleyball Camp is designed for students entering grades 6 through 11 who are looking for an intensive but enjoyable training program to start their summer vacation. Working under the guidance of experienced coaches, campers will develop new abilities and improve upon existing skills through drills, personalized instruction, and regular competitions.

Each day will consist of training sessions, which will cover skills such as passing, setting, blocking, attacking and serving. Campers will also participate in daily contests and scrimmages, with the camp culminating in a half day tournament on Friday. The camp is open to students of all levels, but participants should have some prior volleyball experience. Campers will be divided into groups based on age and experience with the game.

Campers can also opt to participate in a combination of Swim Camp and Volleyball Camp. Campers in the combination program will participate in volleyball training in the morning, and swim training in the afternoon.

The camp is directed by Mary Garesche Aiken, a PE instructor, swimming and volleyball coach at Berkeley Carroll.

$500/week

Registration

Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis; early enrollment is strongly recommended. A 20% deposit must be submitted at the time of registration. The balance is due on May 1.

Medical Form

An emergency contact and consent form and a current immunization record must be on file by the first day of the program. A full-time nurse is on the premises.

Facilities

The camp is based at the Berkeley Carroll Athletic Center on President Street in the heart of Park Slope, Brooklyn. The Athletic Center include a four-lane, 75-foot swimming pool, two full-size gyms, a mezzanine area for fitness and strength-training, and two play yards.

Lunch

All campers bring their own lunch, except for Friday, June 24, when the camp will host a pizza party for participants.

Attire

Every camper will receive a Berkeley Carroll Volleyball Camp t-shirt, which they can wear for training throughout the week. Campers should also bring bathing suits and towels for training sessions at the pool.
