Berkeley Carroll Swim Camp is designed for students entering grades K through 8 who are looking for an intensive but enjoyable aquatics program to start their summer vacation. Working under the guidance of experienced coaches, campers will work to improve their technique and endurance through drills and workouts both in and out of the pool.
Each day will consist of training sessions, which will cover stroke technique for all four strokes, starts and turns. Campers will also participate in daily contests and workouts to improve strength, agility and flexibility. The camp is open to students of all levels, but participants should be capable of participating in 2-3 hour training sessions in the pool. Swimmers will be divided into groups based on age and experience.
In addition to swimming instruction, students will participate in a regular camp program, with a special focus on physical education activities.

Extended Day Options

DiscountsBerkeley Carroll offers the following discounts for campers participating in multiple weeks of its Classic Day Camp or specialty camps:
Campers participating in 3 or 4 weeks of camp at BC: $25 off per week
Campers participating in 5 or 6 weeks of camp at BC: $50 off per week
Campers participating in 7, 8, or 9 weeks of camp at BC: $75 off per week
Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis; early enrollment is strongly recommended. A 20% deposit must be submitted at the time of registration. The balance is due on May 1.
An emergency contact and consent form and a current immunization record must be on file by the first day of the program. A full-time nurse is on the premises.
The camp is based at the Berkeley Carroll Athletic Center on President Street in the heart of Park Slope, Brooklyn. The Athletic Center include a four-lane, 75-foot swimming pool, two full-size gyms, a mezzanine area for fitness and strength-training, and two play yards.
All campers bring their own lunch. Snacks are provided daily.
Campers should bring bathing suits, goggles, and towels for training sessions at the pool, and shorts, t-shirts and sneakers for land workouts and free play. Swim caps will be provided by the camp.
