Locker assignments and schedule rundowns came first. Then came the trampolines.

Upper School students returned to campus for a different kind of first day centered more on reconnecting, team building, and shaking off a summer’s worth of rust before the pencils were sharpened and the laptops were powered up.

For the Class of 2030, orientation started the way it always does, with the obligatory meetings about expectations, and schedules. But then the freshmen traded the classroom for Chelsea Piers Brooklyn, for a day of games, sports, trampolines, and pizza.

At the other end of Upper School, the Class of 2027 started their senior year a little further from the ground. Seniors headed to Boundless Adventures ropes course in Purchase, NY, where they pushed themselves on the park’s highest courses, cheered each other on, and built trust, talking their friends across wobbly planks forty feet in the air.

After the day, students were ready for their real adventure to begin.
