Two Wheels, Big Smiles: Kindergarteners Show Off Their Biking Skills

Learning to ride a bike is one of childhood's great milestones, and Berkeley Carroll's kindergarteners tackle it together.

Throughout the unit, students took to the Athletics Center for biking lessons in a safe, supportive environment where they could learn, wobble, and grow alongside their friends. The space gave students the room to build confidence at their own pace.

Recently, families and special guests were invited in to see that progress firsthand during the Kindergarten Bike Observations, a chance for students to show off how far they'd come and take genuine pride in their accomplishments.

For many students, the biking unit became one of the standout memories of the school year. The combination of challenge, encouragement, and the particular joy of finally getting it right made for the kind of learning that sticks beyond the classroom.

As the school year winds down, families are encouraged to keep the wheels turning over the summer and to continue reinforcing safe biking habits along the way. The hard work is already done, now it's time to enjoy the ride.
