Lower School Students Go for the Gold in PE

With the 2026 Winter Olympic Games concluding in record-breaking fashion for Team USA, earning 12 gold medals, Berkeley Carroll’s Lower School students were inspired to host a Winter Olympics of their own.

Held in the BC Athletic Center, the event transformed familiar PE spaces into winter sport arenas. Students rotated through creative versions of Olympic events, including bobsled, curling, cross-country skiing, luge, and hockey. Even the BC swimming pool became part of the Games, featuring an obstacle course that had students racing, jumping, and splashing for the gold.

Throughout the week, students embodied the Olympic spirit, demonstrating teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship, perhaps sparking the dream of a future Olympian.
