Berkeley Carroll is proud to celebrate Middle School science teacher Shennel Hunte, who recently presented two workshops at the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) Conference in Minneapolis.

Shennel’s first session explored how the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework can expand access and equity in science classrooms. Her second workshop focused on harnessing Cognitive Load Theory to help students retain complex content.

In addition to teaching 5th and 7th grade science, Shennel serves as the 7th Grade Dean of Students. We are thrilled to have Shennel representing Berkeley Carroll and sharing her expertise with the wider science education community.
