Dr. Elizabeth Epstein in front of a brick wall

Berkeley Carroll proudly congratulates Dr. Elizabeth Epstein, our Director of Learning Strategies, on earning her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the City University of New York’s Graduate Center, with a concentration in Learning, Development, and Instruction.

Dr. Epstein’s dissertation examined the effectiveness of a high-impact reading intervention program grounded in structured literacy practices. In her role at Berkeley Carroll, she collaborates with learning specialists, interventionists, and psychologists across all three divisions to translate educational research into practical, student-centered interventions.

Before completing her doctorate, Dr. Epstein earned her M.S.Ed. in Teaching Students with Disabilities at Brooklyn College, where she continues to contribute to the Advanced Certificate in Reading Science program.

Congratulations, Dr. Epstein, on this remarkable achievement and for bringing your expertise and dedication to our school community!
