Beta Bytes Head to the FIRST Lego League Qualifier

Berkeley Carroll’s Middle School robotics team, the Beta Bytes, recently traveled to the East Harlem Tutorial School to compete in the FIRST Lego League NYC Qualifier, joining teams from across the city for a day of problem-solving, teamwork, and innovation.

After months of designing, building, testing, and programming their robot, the Beta Bytes were recognized with the Motivate Award for their Innovation Project. This award honors teams whose ideas inspire judges to think differently about a real-world problem. This year, the Beta Bytes impressed judges with a creative proposal exploring how modern technology can support archaeologists in uncovering and understanding ancient civilizations.

The Beta Bytes meet weekly on Tuesdays after school in the Beta Lab. Congratulations to the team and the coaches. Keep building!
