BC Upper School Welcomes Speaker Dr. Aliza Levy-Erber

In recognition of International Holocaust Remembrance Day, Berkeley Carroll Upper School welcomed Dr. Aliza Levy-Erber to Sterling Place for a moving and deeply meaningful conversation. A Holocaust survivor and a member of the BC community as a grandparent, Dr. Levy-Erber shared her firsthand experiences of survival, loss, and remembrance with Upper School students.

Introduced by members of Berkeley Carroll’s Jewish Student Union, Dr. Levy-Erber reflected candidly on her childhood during the Holocaust, honoring the family members who did not survive, and sharing her experience returning years later to the camp where her father had been held, an act of remembrance that underscored the importance of bearing witness and preserving memory.

The Upper School community is deeply grateful to Dr. Levy-Erber for her courage, generosity, and willingness to share her story.
