The Fund for Growth and Innovation in Teaching is part of Berkeley Carroll’s endowment and supports professional development opportunities for faculty, both now and in the future. The fund recognizes excellence in teaching and makes it possible for teachers to grow at every stage of their career. Berkeley Carroll’s commitment to professional development benefits both our faculty and the students they teach, as well as helping the school attract and retain exceptional teachers. It strengthens a Berkeley Carroll education.

Berkeley Carroll has placed a strong emphasis on global citizenship, using travel as a means to foster an expanded awareness of the global community. This commitment has two key components: curriculum that helps students understand global dynamics and challenges, and travel experiences that give students the opportunity to build their skills and test theory in the real world. The Fund for Global Education underwrites these goals by supporting a global education program where travel is an integral part of the Berkeley Carroll experience.

Each year Berkeley Carroll disburses over $10M in financial aid grants. This important initiative ensures that the school’s student population reflects the city at-large. The Financial Aid fund plays an important role in facilitating this, and allows students from across New York City (and beyond!) to have access to the first-rate education that Berkeley Carroll is known for.

Unrestricted endowments contribute to the school’s annual budget, providing a source of support for school operations. Gifts that are unrestricted afford flexibility in meeting the current and future needs of the school as they arise.
