Project Brooklyn

Working independently or with a faculty partner, every middle school faculty member creates a Brooklyn-related project based on his or her interests and passions. Middle school students, grades 5-8, join these faculty leaders in small groups to explore these interests together.  Project Brooklyn runs for two days in June.

Project Brooklyn is about exploring interests, taking risks, and trying something new. It allows students to see teachers as learners and for teachers to learn alongside students. Project Brooklyn reinforces our belief that learning is about taking risks and casting aside predetermined outcomes. It acknowledges to our students and us that education is not confined to the classroom.
