BC LION VISITS THE LOWER SCHOOL!
It’s a bird, it’s a plane — it’s the BC Lion! The BC Lion made a surprise visit at morning drop-off last week to greet Lower School students — giving high-fives and fist bumps to students (and more than a few grown-ups). It was his first visit in over 2 years and smiles were everywhere! More photos.

BC FACULTY MEMBER NAMED CHANGEMAKER AWARD
Congratulations to Vanessa Prescott, BC’s Director of Enrollment Management and Director of Admissions for the Middle and Upper School, who was awarded the Enrollment Management Association’s first-ever Changemaker Award. This distinction is given to an admissions professional of color who has been nominated by their peers and is in recognition of Vanessa's many contributions to the enrollment management field in her more than 20 years at Berkeley Carroll.
Vanessa has presented at many national admissions and enrollment conferences, including earlier this year at the Western Boarding School Conference in Monterey, California and the Association of Independent School Admission Professionals where she spoke about our school’s anti-bias work.
