Berkeley Carroll's Kindergarteners closed out the school year in the most delicious way possible, with Momo's Munchies, a fully student-run bake shop named for beloved class mascot Momo the Monkey.

The Berkeley Carroll Middle School community gathered this week to close out the academic year with music, student reflections, and a Moving Up ceremony that sent every grade into summer with something to look forward to. 

Berkeley Carroll's Lower School gathered at the Athletic Center for one of the year's most beloved traditions, Arch Day, before the 4th graders made their way down Carroll Street and into the next chapter of their BC journey.

Families and special guests gathered at the Athletics Center to cheer on Berkeley Carroll's kindergarteners as they showed off a skill they've been working hard to master all unit long. 

Imagination, innovation, and Spanish vocabulary were all on the menu as Berkeley Carroll's second graders rolled out their creations for the fourth annual Food Truck Project. 

Singers, dancers, comedians, and, not one, but two, ventriloquists took over the gym as Berkeley Carroll's annual Middle School Variety Show delivered one of the year's most joyful afternoons. 

Some of these students picked up their instruments for the very first time in September. By spring, they were performing finales. BC's 5th and 6th grade musicians took over the Marlene Clary Performance Space in legendary fashion.

Berkeley Carroll's 4th graders took the Marlene Clary Performance Space by storm, closing out their Lower School years with music, dance, poetry, D&D monsters, garden-fresh produce, Broadway-worthy performances, and more than a few happy tears. 

Blueprints, physical models, 3D renderings, and a panel of real-world professionals, BC 8th graders recently wrapped up one of the year's most ambitious projects with a Bridge Design Showcase that brought the city's transportation challenges into the classroom.

This month, Berkeley Carroll Lower School students gathered for a Rainbow Alliance Pride Assembly filled with sincere reflections, a lesson in history, and a joyful dance party to close it all out. 

On May 28th, Berkeley Carroll Middle School gathered for a special morning assembly to celebrate remarkable student achievement in Spanish proficiency, complete with a live Mariachi performance. 

Berkeley Carroll's sixth graders wrote, cast, designed, and performed their way through The Odyssey and beyond in this year's unforgettable Play Festival, bringing ancient myths to the BC stage.

Four BC students crafted hand-bound, illustrated fairy tales with a modern twist, then traveled to a Brooklyn elementary school to read them aloud, spark big conversations, and help third graders write their very own technology contracts.

Twenty-two Berkeley Carroll chess players went head-to-head with two-time U.S. Women's Chess Champion Jennifer Shahade, and walked away with signed books, big insights, and a few hard-earned draws.

This spring, Berkeley Carroll's 1st and 2nd graders showed audiences exactly what the Lower School Dance and Music programs are all about: generosity, wonder, and joy.

After days of rain, the clouds parted just in time for Berkeley Carroll's Lower School Field Day, and Prospect Park had no idea what was coming.

Berkeley Carroll’s Science Research and Design program doesn’t just teach science, it creates scientists. On May 20th, the Class of 2026 presented their independent research at the annual SRD Symposium, the capstone of a rigorous three-year journey. 

From Weeksville to Wall Street, Berkeley Carroll's 11th graders took their original research out of the classroom and into the streets, leading classmates and faculty on walking tours that reframed the city through history, power, and place.
