Each student researched a historical topic of their choice and found a creative way to weave a neighborhood into that topic, taking a small group of faculty and classmates to parts of the city that illustrate its rich history. Tour topics ranged from graffiti in the East Village, to the food and culture in Chinatown, to the issue of segregation in New York City schools. | | | MIDDLE SCHOOLERS ENJOY & LEARN NEW SKILLS IN PROJECT BROOKLYN And that's a wrap on Project Brooklyn 2022 for the Middle School! We can't finish the year without giving thanks to some of BC's biggest MVPs: the Health Team! We are extraordinarily appreciative of the diligence and commitment they brought to keep students, faculty, and staff healthy and safe all year. The entire grade performed small-group dance numbers, with music they had chosen themselves and even choreographed. Then families were treated to an interactive art show. Their displayed works included "Shadowbox Stories" which leveraged collage and simple construction techniques to create scenes with National Geographic animal photography. Also on view were Zen Pattern drawings, meant to promote concentration and creativity while also increasing personal wellness.
