STUDENT'S GIANT MURAL OF HISTORIC FIGURES ON DISPLAY
Check out the beautiful Andy Warhol-inspired mural of historic figures by Mia M. '24, which is now on display on our Lincoln Place campus! Mia's 6 foot x 9 foot artwork was created using acrylic paint and screen printing on canvas, with help from students in our Middle School's mural elective.

BC FACULTY LEADS WORKSHOP AT COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY'S TEACHERS COLLEGE

Lion Pride! Middle School Math Teacher Sekou Cox was invited by Columbia University's Teachers College to lead a workshop in their Wellness Series for Black History Month, which focused on strategies and insights for achieving academic and wellness success. Mr. Cox earned his B.A. in Economics from Columbia University, his Masters in Middle School Mathematics Education from Brooklyn College, and his Masters in Exercise Science from Long Island University. He is currently studying for his Doctorate in Mathematics Education at Teachers College.

STEAM AT BC: KINDERGARTENERS DESIGN SUPER SENSE COMICS

Kindergarten students created 'Super Sense Comics!' This collaboration between the library and science class incorporates knowledge about the five senses in a comic book structure. Students made use of speech bubbles, thought bubbles, and onomatopoeia!
