SEUSSICAL: MIDDLE SCHOOL MUSICAL GETS RAVE REVIEWS FROM SOLD OUT AUDIENCES Congratulations to the Middle School cast and crew of Seussical JR., a fantastical musical extravaganza from Tony-winners, Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty. During its sold-out, 3-day run in the Sterling Place Performance Space, the production played to audiences who were transported from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus, all while the Cat in the Hat narrated the story of Horton the Elephant, who discovers a speck of dust containing tiny people called the Whos. This play, where the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community emerge triumphant, is perfect for the holiday season and suitable for all ages. Watch the full performance. BC ATHLETIC TEAMS HAVE STRONG FINISH IN 2021 BC athletics teams finished 2021 BC strong! Boys Varsity Basketball remained undefeated after big wins over Riverdale and Dwight; Girls Basketball team were crowned champions in the Aviator Classic hosted by Avenues; and the Varsity Swim teams are off to a strong start with wins over Dwight and Grace Church. 3RD GRADERS LEARN ABOUT PUERTO RICO As part of their studies about Latinx cultures around the world, 3rd graders recently studied Puerto Rico, learning about various aspects of the culture such as food, weather, music, famous people, communities, historical facts, and language and ultimately designing a beautiful and cultural presentation about the beautiful island. |

9TH GRADERS VISIT 7TH GRADE TO SHARE TIPS ABOUT "CONSTITUTION WORKS" Activities where Lower, Middle and Upper School students work together and share their experiences are an important part of a BC education. This year, in preparation for the annual Constitution Works project, 7th graders received a visit from 9th graders, who answered questions, passed on tips for success, revealed their favorite memories, and encouraged the 7th graders to work hard and have fun! |

SENIOR SPEAKERS Congrats to our latest Senior Speakers - Max E., Chance F., and Truth T. '22! Max spoke about spending a semester abroad at the Island School, and how embracing potentially uncomfortable situations can lead to personal growth. Chance shared about a school trip to Tanzania and how despite the apprehension of being placed in a homestay alone, the experience turned into a much deeper connection with a new family. Truth talked about the struggle to come up with the perfect Senior Speech to properly convey Truth's love of music, before sharing a beautiful rendition of "Someday My Prince Will Come" on piano. |

SENIORS TAKE ON DESIGN CHALLENGE Don't we all long for travel and adventure? For their "Destination Design" projects, 11th and 12th Graders' were tasked with making an unpopular locale an exciting destination to improve the lives of visitors and locals. They used their graphic design skills to create logos, signage and menus, and 3D printing to make architectural models. Innovative designs included: - A gambling casino located in a blimp that floats above Hong Kong
- A retreat and maker space located on the Pacific Garbage Patch where you can learn how to turn old plastic into useful products
- A retreat hotel in the South Pole where you can observe the stars at night with no light pollution.
