Calling All Book Fair Volunteers
The Berkeley Carroll Parent Association welcomes volunteers for the Book Fair... From setup to sales to crafts! Opportunities are open to BC parents/guardians, caregivers, faculty and staff, and BC students Grades 5-12.
Bring or Buy a Book to Donate to the Brooklyn Book Bodega Drive!
Donate your new and gently used children’s book to the Brooklyn Book Bodega at A BC BOOK FAIR on SATURDAY, APRIL 26. We’ll accept gently used and new books for ages 0-18 including foreign language, dual language and nonfiction books. Please no religious books, textbooks, activity books, encyclopedias, broken books, or books with missing pages. Please do not send any books that you would not want in your own home or are not for ages 0-18. For example, do not give us well loved books: torn books, books with scribbles, or adult books.
Brooklyn Book Bodega increases the number of 100+ book homes in NYC. Despite the resources and wealth in New York City—parts of our own community are classified as book deserts, areas with very few books available for sale or lending.
Thank you to the BCPA Side-by-Side Committee for helping to organize this effort.
