BConnects: Reopening Plan
The Berkeley Carroll School Reopening Plan, a condensed version of which appears in the 2020-21 Health Guidelines And Facilities Use Quick Reference, has been developed to help members of the community understand the school's approach to reopening in the context of the COVID-19 health crisis. (Guía de Consulta Rápida)
The information included in this plan is intended primarily for faculty and staff, but pertains to anyone coming to campus. This includes students who will come to campus for remote learning and community building activities, and all students who plan to participate in campus-based learning when Berkeley Carroll institutes its reduced-density model. It may also be of interest to parents and guardians who seek further details of the school’s preparations for reopening in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Schools in New York were required to submit their reopening plans to the New York State Department of Health on July 31st and to make the same plans available to their school communities. It is important to note that submission of these plans is not a commitment to execute them; rather, these plans keep open the option of pursuing the in-person instructional models previously shared with the BC community at such time that we decide to open our campus to reduced density, hybrid instruction.
