It is recommended but not required that the forms be completed by your child before they come for an interview. The Common Student Activity and Interest form should be sent to you or your child through Ravenna by entering your email address.

Apply for Financial Aid

*Deadline is December 17th

Indicate on the application if you intend to apply for Financial Aid. Berkeley Carroll uses the services of the Tuition Aid Data Service (TADS) to process all need-based financial aid applications. Click on the Tuition and Financial Aid button for more information. The financial aid application will be available at TADS as of September 1st.

US Student/Parent Interview

*Deadline is January 17th

Due to limited spaces for new students and a competitive applicant pool, interviews can only be scheduled once the student’s application and a copy of their 2018-2019 report card have been submitted through Ravenna. Once these materials have been reviewed, families will be notified whether we will be able to offer an interview. The student and parent interviews are available in the morning or in the late afternoon. Families can schedule their student and parent interview through their Ravenna account.

*Please contact the admissions office if you have any questions.

Submit a Copy of 2018-19 Final Report Card

*Due upon submission of application and/or prior to scheduling the applicant’s interview.

Once you have completed the application, we ask parents to submit a copy of the applicant's final report card from the 2018-2019 school year. Parents can upload this information to Ravenna or mail it to Berkeley Carroll's Admissions office at;

*Please remember that a copy of the applicant’s report card must be submitted prior to scheduling an interview.

Register for a Standardized Exam

*Deadline for results is January 17th

Berkeley Carroll requires applicants to take one standardized examination as part of the admissions process. Register for the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE), which is administered through the Educational Records Bureau (ERB). To schedule a testing date, go to We also accept the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT) as an alternative assessment. To schedule a testing date, go to Berkeley Carroll hosts the ISEE test on campus, but parents must register their children for testing on the ISEE website. It is not necessary to take these tests at Berkeley Carroll in order for the school to receive the results. We recommend registering for the ISEE or the SSAT as early as possible since dates can fill up quickly.

ISEE Test Dates At Berkeley Carroll:

The Berkeley Carroll School Code: 330575

Request Official School Transcript

*Deadline for receipt is January 17th

Submit Transcript and Grades Release Form for the 2019-2020 school year to the office of your child's CURRENT SCHOOL. The request for an official school transcript should not be submitted until after the first marking period; we require grades for the current year. If the applicant attends a school that does not issue a report card before January 17th, 2020, please contact the Berkeley Carroll Admissions office with the expected date of the first marking period report card.

Request Teacher Recommendations

*Deadline for receipt is January 17th

The Common Teacher Evaluation Forms can be sent to your child's CURRENT teachers through Ravenna by entering each teacher’s email address. If the school requires paper forms, you have the option of printing them through Ravenna. Two recommendations are required -- one from an English teacher and one from a Math teacher. If the instructor teaches both Math and English, please ask them to fill out both forms rather than address each subject in one form. You are welcome to submit a recommendation from a supplemental teacher (coach, instructor, etc.) however, it is not required.

The teachers may need some time to learn about the students; please wait until after November 1st to request teacher recommendations.

Submit Writing Sample

*Deadline is January 17th

Send the Admissions Office a sample of your child's writing. This should be a finished work that your child has submitted for assessment. If teacher comments are included, please leave them intact. You may submit excerpts from a journal or work done out of school as a supplement if you choose, though this is not necessary.

Submit Photograph

*Deadline is January 17th

Submit a photograph of your child using your Ravenna account. Please make sure this is a photograph where we can clearly see your child’s face. Head shots are preferred.
