A Student Interview/Half-day visit will be scheduled by the Admissions Office. During the visit, applicants shadow a Berkeley Carroll “buddy” in their application grade from 8:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. All applicants will be interviewed at some point in the day by a member of the BC faculty or the Admissions team.Since our interviews are only for the applicants, we recommend that you attend one of our open houses. If you are unable to do so, we are happy to arrange a tour of the middle school when your child comes to visit (*Please let us know in advance if you are interested so that we can make sure a tour guide is available). We invite parents to follow up with us by phone or email if they have any questions or would like to further discuss their child’s candidacy.
*Because of limited spaces for new students, interviews are by invitation only. Please contact the admissions office if you have any questions.
We will be extending invitations to return to BC to engage in a 45 minute group activity with a member of the BC Middle School faculty. Parents will be able to choose one of two dates.
Please be aware that not all applicants will receive an invitation to the group activity. Invitations will be extended through January 17th.
Scheduled Group Activity Dates:
January 11th & January 16th
If you have any questions regarding this protocol, please do not hesitate to contact our office.
*Due upon submission of application and/or prior to scheduling the applicant’s interview.
Once you have completed the application, we ask parents to submit a copy of the applicant's final report card from the 2018-2019 school year. Parents can upload this information to Ravenna or mail it to Berkeley Carroll's Admissions office at:

Berkeley Carroll requires applicants to take one standardized examination as part of the admissions process. Register for the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE), which is administered through the Educational Records Bureau (ERB). To schedule a testing date, go to www.iseetest.org. We also accept the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT) as an alternative assessment. To schedule a testing date, go to www.ssat.org.
