Next Steps and Upcoming Dates

SPRING 2021

Parents, please "Save-The-Date" for the Welcome Event, which will take place live on Zoom on May 19 from 9:30am - 11:00am. We will share a host of information, including dates to remember, the calendar, newly enrolled family contact information (not a class list but grade list), and it will give you the opportunity to mix and mingle with all Newly Enrolled Families, Trustees, Parent Association Officers, Parent Ambassadors, and Administrators.

New Student Virtual Stop By Visits: New students and their adults are invited to bring a snack and meet the teachers and other new students on Zoom! Check your email for the invitation.

New Kindergarten Students Virtual Visit:
Thursday, May 27th from 4:00 - 4:30pm

In June you will receive information about the bus service.

Parent Partner: You will also be contacted by your "Parent Partner," a current Berkeley Carroll parent who will get in touch to welcome you and answer any parent-to-parent questions you may have.

SUMMER 2021

Berkeley Carroll has many options for summer programs. Coming to camp can be a great way for new children to begin to get to know their new school.

A school calendar and other information will be sent to you — be on the lookout for Berkeley Carroll mail. Other information, including the brochure on after school courses and playgroups, will be available online.

SEPTEMBER 2021

The first day of school will be Thursday, September 9 and it will be a half day for kindergarten students.

Your child will receive a welcome letter in late August/early September from their teachers and will be invited for a short visit with other classmates before the first day of school. Stop by visits are scheduled for Friday, September 3 (subject to change).

THROUGHOUT THE YEAR

Parent-teacher conferences: Conferences are generally held in November and March, though teachers are happy to make appointments to meet at other times, should the need arise.

Progress reports: Written reports are sent twice yearly, in January and June.

ANYTIME

Contact us with any questions or concerns. We are working remotely, please email Beverly Reese, Director of Lower School Admissions at breese@berkeleycarroll.org. The Lower School office can be reached at (718) 534-6601. Staff there can also help answer questions or will direct you to someone who can.

SCHEDULE

Berkeley Carroll's Lower School works on a seven-day cycle (subject to change). There is a rotation of classes through days 1-7 and the daily schedule for each of these days is unique. The school days are listed both on the printed school calendar and the school website.
