Brooklyn private independent school

We're Looking Forward to Having You Join Us! (1-4)

Next Steps and Upcoming Dates

Tuesday, June 7th from 3:45pm-4:30pm
New students in Grades 1-4 are invited to an Ice Cream/Sorbet Social to meet one another at 701 Carroll Street. It’s an opportunity for the newest community members to visit the campus and meet other newly enrolled 1st-4th graders, the 1st - 4th grade faculty and specialist teachers, and other administrators.

In June you will receive information about the bus service.

Berkeley Carroll has many options for summer programs. Coming to camp can be a great way for new children to begin to get to know their new school.

A school calendar and other information will be sent to you — be on the lookout for Berkeley Carroll mail. Other information, including the brochure on after school courses and playgroups, will be available online.

You will also be contacted by your "Parent Partner," a current Berkeley Carroll parent who will get in touch to welcome you and answer any parent-to-parent questions you may have.

The first day of school will be Thursday, September 8.

Your child will receive a welcome letter in late August/early September from their teachers and will be invited for a short visit with other classmates before the first day of school.

Your child will be connected with a buddy in their classroom who will help welcome your child into the school.

Parent-teacher conferences: Conferences are generally held in November and March, though teachers are happy to make appointments to meet at other times, should the need arise.

Progress reports: Written reports are sent twice yearly, in January and June.

Please contact us with any questions or concerns. Call (718) 534.6608 or email Director of Lower School Admission, Beverly Reese at Staff are more than happy to answer any questions or will direct you to someone who can.
