Berkeley Carroll truly prepared me for my next steps! I was recruited from BC by the University of Massachusetts Amherst baseball team as a center fielder, but due to an early-semester injury I could not participate during the season. After being sidelined for a season and requiring surgery to repair my shoulder, I opted to migrate to a different sport. That following academic quarter I walked on to the track and field team. Lighting struck a second time when I injured my hamstring. This prevented my involvement in spring competition.
Life after sports consisted of a migration to residential life. Becoming a residential assistant (RA) molded my collegiate work ethic and fashioned an intelligent and highly motivated community of lifelong friends. I double majored in communications and psychology and minored in film.
In May 2012 I began work at Professional Settlement Agency, LLC, a privately held residential investment firm, as a sales assistant to the CEO. I've recently migrated to a different brokerage firm called Ideal Properties, the No. 1 residential rental firm in Brooklyn in respect to volume and production and No. 4 in commercial sales. In conjunction with real estate, I am in the proposal stage of a festival to raise awareness for victims and survivors of rape and sexual violence. I am also a contributing writer for a San Francisco music discovery website called Indie Shuffle. Before Indie Shuffle I was the sole proprietor for Obey The Grind Inc., a music blog that only posted music submitted by aspiring and independent musicians as well as fashion designers.
Outside of my career and human rights initiatives I am preparing for my LSATs. I intend on earning my J.D. and then concentrating on intellectual property law.
