Senior Speakers

We consider public speaking a core competency, essential for effective global citizenship. Debate has long been a strength of the school, with our Middle and Upper School speech and debate teams frequently competing on a national level.

In the Upper School, the Senior Speakers Program requires every 12th grader to deliver a speech to the entire Upper School, with assemblies held once a week for this purpose. The Senior Speakers Program has become a genuine rite of passage for the Berkeley Carroll graduate.
