Middle School Students Reading at the Library - The Berkeley Carroll School

The newly renovated Middle School Library is a bright, welcoming space dedicated to Middle Schoolers and their reading needs and interests. The space is used for independent reading and collaborative work, sustained silent reading sessions, homework, meetings with teachers and reading-based electives such as the Mock Newbery Club, our decade-old reading group for 4th-8th graders. Its flexible furniture allows for a wide variety of usage, and there are board games and maker projects available during breaks and lunch every day.
