The PreK - Grade 1 library program supports classroom learning, and strives to encourage, assist and educate students and teachers as they explore, navigate and assess materials in their quest to be lifelong learners. Students are introduced to the purposes and organization of a library, and the concept and practices of research. Students meet weekly to achieve the following objectives: promote a love of reading; learn information management skills; and practice the use of age-appropriate information technologies.

In grades 2-4, the library hub serves as a resource for students and teachers, both as a quiet place to work independently or in small groups and as a place to find a great book. In third and fourth grades, students meet with the librarian, STEAM integrator and classroom teachers twice a cycle for research, where research and technology skills are taught to support the ongoing work of their social studies curriculum.
