Meet the Team
Carolyn Middleton, Director of College Counseling, came to Berkeley Carroll in 2016 with nearly 25 years in college admissions, advising, and counseling, having served most recently as Director of Admissions at Barnard College. Her work experience also includes leadership roles in college counseling at two secondary schools, Colorado Academy (CO) and Sacred Heart Preparatory (CA), as well as academic advising at Columbia University. She earned her graduate degree in Higher Education from Harvard University.
Director of College Counseling
Khaliah Williams, who joined the staff in 2015 as both College Counselor and a member of our English department, served as an the Director of Multicultural Recruitment at Sarah Lawrence College and an Assistant Director of Admission at Eugene Lang College the New School for Liberal Arts, before getting her MFA from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. Her counseling experience, prior to Berkeley Carroll, includes five years as a College Counselor to the Friends School of Baltimore (MD). She is also a writer of fiction.
Mary Dunne, the Assistant to College Counseling, has been a member of the Berkeley Carroll community for more than 19 years, having spent many years in the Admissions Office before transitioning full time to College Counseling. We are incredibly lucky to have someone with her institutional memory and logistical expertise on staff.
