Strong Start for Speech and Debate
After a strong start to its season at elite invitationals at Yale University and The Bronx High School of Science, the Speech and Debate team competed locally: Middle Schoolers competed online and in-person with the Brooklyn Debate League and at a tournament against students from private, public and charter schools from all over Brooklyn.
Aanya M. '29 and Aedan L. '29 co-championed SPAR Debate on Friday night, while Jasper G. '27 and Wendell S. 27 championed Public Forum!
Upper Schoolers took on competition in the BQCFL on Saturday, where Daniela H. ‘25 earned the team’s first half-qual for states of the season! Amelia L. ‘24 and Josef B. ‘25 were also finalists in their events.
