Post-Winter Break Schedule Planning

Dear Berkeley Carroll Families,

As we head into the final weeks before Winter Break, the administrative team has been hard at work parsing adjustments to the schedule for our anticipated mid-January return to campus and the continuation of hybrid learning.

In recent weeks, we have scaled up the amount of time that Middle School students are able to be on campus, while maintaining Lower School on-campus time. We are now making plans to expand on-campus learning for Upper School students in the third quarter (January 22 - March 19) with minimal impact on the Lower and Middle School divisions.

Specifically, Monday, February 22nd - Friday, February, 26th has been reserved as a week when the 3rd - 8th grades will be entirely remote, and Upper School classes will meet in person (with a remote option) each day.

We wanted to get this information to you in a timely manner, even though we also know that the evolving Covid-19 situation in NYC might necessitate adjustments to this and other plans in the months ahead.

The Division Directors will send an email with division-specific details this week.

With an eye on the overall health and wellbeing of our entire community, we continue to evaluate our schedule and will consider additional modifications as we plan for spring and, hopefully, an improved Covid outlook.
