Middle School Completes Day of Service with #HashtagLunchbag
To continue dialogue and community action around the impact of the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., middle schoolers engaged in a day of service with #HashtagLunchBag. Students prepared and packaged sandwiches and snacks, including a hand-written motivational note into a decorated lunch bag. Then, eighth graders delivered the lunches to community fridges to help people who are experiencing food insecurity. The theme of this activity was “This is What Community Looks Like”, and embracing Dr. King’s philosophy of “beloved community”.
