We are proud to celebrate Berkeley Carroll’s Director of Enrollment Management and MS/US Admissions Vanessa C. Prescott, for her impactful role at this year’s Enrollment Management Association (EMA) National Annual Conference, held in Boston from September 18-20, 2024.
Prescott was the inaugural recipient of the EMA Changemaker Award in 2022, a prestigious honor recognizing distinguished educators of color for their exceptional contributions to the field of enrollment management, and returned to the conference this year with a significant leadership role.
She co-taught the "Reducing Bias in Admission" module as part of the Admission Training Institute, a pre-conference offering designed to help admission professionals build inclusive and equitable admissions processes. Attendees were able to learn from Prescott's expertise which continues to influence best practices in the field.
In addition, Prescott was a key speaker on the panel "Strategic Evolution: Tackling K-12 Admissions in the Wake of Supreme Court Changes," addressing the challenges posed by recent legal decisions impacting diversity initiatives in K-12 schools. Her insights, along with those of her fellow panelists, are helping schools across the country navigate the evolving landscape of admissions while preserving their commitment to diversity and inclusion.
She continues to support schools across the country to train their admissions teams, reading committees, and faculty. We are incredibly proud of Vanessa’s ongoing leadership and her dedication to shaping the future of admissions at Berkeley Carroll and beyond. Congratulations, Vanessa, on another successful and impactful year at EMA!
