Class of 2018 College Enrollments

Announcing Class of 2018 College Enrollments

As we near graduation, it is with great pride that we celebrate the many achievements of Berkeley Carroll's Class of 2018. The number of writing and art awards they have earned, debates won and opinions argued, runs, points and goals scored, artistic projects performed and produced, and independent research papers presented is indeed impressive. Each student has left their mark. We will miss their voices and their presence in both our classrooms and on our campus.

We are also pleased to celebrate the outstanding decisions made by our seniors and their colleges and universities in this year's college admissions process. Even in this incredibly competitive admission climate, 86% of our seniors were offered admission to one of their top two choices and 63% of the class was offered spots at colleges and universities in the most selective category. In fact, nearly two-thirds of our seniors already had one or more offers of admission by mid-December having applied early action or decision.

Seniors considered offers from Penn, Princeton, Bowdoin, Cornell, Brown, Vanderbilt, Colorado, Bryn Mawr, Vassar, Northeastern and so many more. It is worth noting, however, how diverse the college list is. Three quarters of our students will attend college outside New York State, Additionally, three students will attend women's colleges, and two will attend historically black universities. While most students will pursue the liberal arts and sciences, several will enroll in specialized programs in engineering, business, and film.

Berkeley Carroll students continue to stand out for their academic achievements, intellectual voracity, wide-ranging extracurricular achievement and personal authenticity. We are so proud of their hard work, self-knowledge, and growth.
