Berkeley Carroll is a Pre-K through grade 12 college preparatory school of close to 1000 students located in the Park Slope section of New York City. Our vibrant intellectual community draws students from all over the city, admission to the school is competitive, and both our parents and students value achievement.
The school seeks an enthusiastic Health and Wellness Educator for its Middle and Upper divisions. Responsibilities include:
• Development and implementation of intersectional and comprehensive health curriculum and programs that address wellness, sexuality, sexual health, LGBTQ+ inclusivity, gender diversity, nutrition, mental health and substance abuse prevention, sexual violence, and consent;
• Teaching Middle and Upper school health classes;
• Evaluation piece of programming (National School Health Check)
• Parent education: Intro to health curriculum
• Professional Development for colleagues
• Additional duties, depending on a candidate’s interests and background
Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to collaborate and implement new programs; possess outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills; and an eagerness to work with a diverse range of students, from 5th graders to high school seniors. A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master’s in Public Health or another health-related field is preferred.

Salary and benefits are highly competitive and will be offered commensurate with experience and credentials. The salary range for this position is $85K-$105K.This full-time position begins in August 2023.
