Supporting Berkeley Carroll

"From what we get, we can make a living; what we give, however, makes a life." - Arthur Ashe

Charitable giving is one of the long-standing traditions associated with independent school life. New programs, like Latin or tennis or dance in the Lower School, and new facilities, like the Athletic Center or renovated Perfomance Space, are not possible through tuition dollars alone, but are funded through the generosity of the Berkeley Carroll community. Tuition only pays about 90% of the true cost of a Berkeley Carroll education. In a very real sense all students are the recipients of the generosity of previous generations of parents, grandparents, trustees, teachers, and alumni.

Every gift to Berkeley Carroll makes a major difference. Whether the gift is large or small, it signifies your confidence in us as a school worthy of your support. Your confidence is well placed, and your generosity much appreciated.

There are three ways to make a gift to Berkeley Carroll: The Annual Fund, which directly supports faculty and students; Capital Gifts, which are larger and generally given over a period of years; and Planned Giving. All of these are explained in greater detail in the links on the left.

Please know that your giving makes an incredible difference to the students and faculty at Berkeley Carroll, both today and in the future. Your giving can also make a difference for you in tax benefits, potential retirement security and countless opportunities for recognition. A gift to Berkeley Carroll not only supports the programs we provide students today, but also builds an even better school for future generations of Berkeley Carroll students.
