Annual Fund

A Partnership for Success

The Annual Fund is the cornerstone of all fundraising programs at Berkeley Carroll.

Each year, Berkeley Carroll asks parents, trustees, alumni, grandparents, and friends of the school to make a tax-deductible contribution to the Annual Fund. All Annual Fund gifts go directly into the operating budget and are used to support every aspect of life at Berkeley Carroll – from faculty salaries to laboratory materials to facilities.

The Annual Fund bridges the gap between tuition and the actual cost of a Berkeley Carroll education.

As an independent school, Berkeley Carroll relies on tuition and a strong Annual Fund to cover the cost of educating our students. Even those students who are paying the full price are not paying the full cost of a Berkeley Carroll education. Tuition alone does not cover the total expense and the Annual Fund helps to make up that difference. Annual Fund gifts are generally unrestricted, meaning the donors allow the school to spend them on whatever it deems necessary; they almost never get spent outside the annual operating budget.

A gift to the Annual Fund is the single most important gift you can make to Berkeley Carroll each year.

Your gift, when added to those of hundreds of other Berkeley Carroll parents, trustees, alumni and friends, can have a large impact on the school. Your participation encourages others to give, helps the school get foundation grants, and sends a message to the community that Berkeley Carroll does make a difference. Participation in the Annual Fund is the most important way you can express your support for the school.
