Capital Giving

Periodically, the school raises money for major facilities improvements, increased endowment funds, or for other projects that require a significant amount of money. These are capital investments in the school’s future and are not funded through either tuition or the Berkeley Carroll Annual Fund.

Today’s students are the beneficiaries of many capital campaigns over the years, from the construction in 2000 of the Athletic Center on President Street to the 1992 addition to 181 Lincoln Place that doubled the size of the Middle and High Schools. In 2012, Berkeley Carroll's most recent campaign, Sustaining Excellence, Securing the Future, raised a record $5.1 million for new classrooms, meeting spaces, and a state-of-the-art dining room. The campaign also increased the school's endowment by augmenting the Fund for Faculty.

Berkeley Carroll is proud that generations of alumni and parents have help build and shape the school of today by supporting its capital campaigns so generously in the past. We hope and expect that today’s families and our young alums will continue this tradition.
