Camp is not in session on Friday, July 4.

Hours

8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for all sessions*
Earlybird from 7:30 a.m.
Latebird to 6:00 p.m.

*Young Campers Full Day: 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
*Young Campers Half Day: 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Ages

3 years (toilet trained) to 8 years

Lunch

All campers bring their own lunch. Snacks are provided daily.

T-Shirts & Swimming Attire

Every camper receives a free t-shirt and a swimming cap. Children should have a swimsuit, towel & appropriate footwear for swimming. Camp t-shirts are expected to be worn for field trips and special events.

Medical Form

A medical form must be on file prior to the child's first day of camp. A Berkeley Carroll School form completed for the 2007-08 school year is acceptable.

Deposit

A non-refundable $200 deposit is required upon registration. The balance is due June 1. Checks, payable to Berkeley Carroll School, should accompany the application and be sent to: Judith Valdez, Berkeley Carroll School, 701 Carroll Street, Brooklyn, NY 11215.

NOTE: This summer there will be a late fee of $100 for payments received after the due date of June 1.

Professional Staff

Judith R. Valdez, Director of the Children's Day Camp, is a veteran member of the Berkeley Carroll School Administration. During the school year, she directs the Extended Day Program and also served as a board member of the New York State After School Association. Judy Valdez is joined by a staff well-known for its professionalism and experience in working with young children. Many members of our staff are Berkeley Carroll faculty members; our music, art, physical education, and aquatics specialists are experienced professionals in their fields. A full-time registered nurse is also part of our professional camp staff.

Facilities

The camp is based at the Berkeley Carroll Lower School, on Carroll Street, in the heart of Park Slope. Our campus has air-conditioned classrooms, a play yard, music room, art room, computer center, library, a gymnasium, and an indoor, four-lane, 75-foot long swimming pool.

Tuition

Full Day (Young Campers and Classic Day Campers):

$465 per week

$2,035 special 5 week rate (for Young Campers only)

Full Day (Explorations and Minis):

$495 per week

Half Day (Young Campers only):

$340 per week

$1,490 special 5 week rate

Earlybird Fee:

$16.00/day

Aftercamp Fees:

3:30 to 4:30 pm: $16.00/day
3:30 to 5:30 pm: $25.75/day
3:30 to 6:00 pm: $35.00/day
