IMPORTANT! HAVE YOU COMPLETED THE SURVEY? ☑

Thanks so much if you have already completed your survey. If you haven’t yet done so, completing the survey is very important to both support Berkeley Carroll’s reaccreditation process with NYSAIS as well to ensure that we have a thorough understanding of how our parents perceive the school. Having a strong completion rate for the survey also says a lot about the strength of our community. Please note: many people began the survey but did not complete it. Results only count from completed surveys!

Please take a few minutes and complete your survey by May 20. Thanks so much.

Two of the “Central Park Five” Visit BC

    Poetry from the Poet Laureate

Tina Chang, college teacher, published author, and Brooklyn’s Poet Laureate, was this year’s featured poet at the Library’s annual Poetry Evening on April 20, 2013. Ms. Chang discovered poetry in her own library, where she would wait for her mom after school. She recalled the moment she knew she was a poet and embraced it, after a series of unfulfilling writing jobs, when she asked herself when she last remembered being happy. The answer was when she was writing poetry, and she’s never turned back.

    BC Seniors Study Organ Donation

On May 3, 2013, two organ recipients joined the Upper School sciences classes for a searing, funny conversation. Steven, a heart recipient, said that he competes in the Transplant Olympics and has his running medals engraved with his donor’s name and sent to her family. “I write to them, too, but it’s hard,” he added. “Every time I try, I just break up, I get so emotional.”
