Lower School

The Lower School believes in the importance of developing children’s intellectual curosity to foster their innate capacity to explore and learn. Teachers encourage the children to ask questions, to experiment with new concepts, and to demonstrate initiative in individual and group activities.

There are two teachers in every preschool, kindergarten, and first grade classroom. Associate teachers work with the second, third, and fourth grade classes, and specialists teach music, dance, visual arts, library, physical education, computer, and science. There is a commitment to small class size to provide individual attention to each student.

A support services team – nurse, psychologist, and learning specialist – is always available to teachers and parents and works with the Lower School Director to serve the best interests of the children.
