Alumni

Berkeley Carroll graduates are a part of our school community for a lifetime. The Alumni Association provides a formal framework for a continuing relationship with the school.

The Association serves alumni interests by sponsoring class reunions, social events, speakers, and career programs. We welcome alums back to the school at any time, and always welcome your news for the Berkeley Carroll Magazine and our monthly email Alumni Update.

Online Alumni Directory

This password-protected, online alumni directory works just like a print directory. Alums can search for friends by name, class year, or region; read and post class notes; read and post messages on a variety of bulletin boards; volunteer or search for career or school mentors; and create a business listing to offer services to other alumni. Just click on the Alumni Network link to the left to access the directory. If you have any problems logging in, please email alums@berkeleycarroll.org for assistance.

Magazine and Alumni Update

The Berkeley Carroll Magazine is published for all members of the Berkeley Carroll community twice a year, in the fall and spring, and includes class notes and alumni profiles, as well as current news from the school. The Alumni Update, with class notes, pictures, news, slideshows, streaming videos and audio feeds, is emailed to alums at the end of each month, from September to June. If you have not been receiving either the Magazine or Alumni Update, click on the Alumni Network link to the left to update your address and other information or email alums@berkeleycarroll.org for assistance.

Alumni Council

All Berkeley Institute and Berkeley Carroll School graduates are automatic members of the Alumni Association, which is represented by an elected Alumni Council. The President of the Alumni Council serves on the Berkeley Carroll School's Board of Trustees for the duration of his or her term. For a list of Alumni Council members, click here.

Alumni Annual Fund

Charitable giving is one of the long-standing traditions associated with independent school life. Each member of the Berkeley Carroll community is asked to join this tradition and consider making a contribution to the school's annual fund. For, in the final analysis, all students are the recipients of the generosity of the alumni who have come before them. Click here to make a donation.

Class Representatives

To help the Association carry out its work, the Alumni Council relies on a network of Class Representatives. For a list of Class Representatives and their addresses, or to learn more about how you can become a Class Representative, click here.

Reunions and Social Events

The Alumni Council sponsors an annual Reunion Day in the spring and several social events and group activities throughout the year.

    7th Grade Math Fair

On the morning of March 14, 2013, the dining hall at 181 Lincoln Place was jam-packed with talk of optical illusions, time-travel paradoxes, and baseball statistics. It was “Pi Day” again (so-dubbed in honor of the irrational number 3.14151926535), a beloved tradition for Berkeley Carroll seventh graders.

We Are An "And" Kind Of School

    Dear Friends,

When we have visitors to the school, whether it is for admissions or to see some aspect of the program in action, I am asked, “What kind of a school is Berkeley Carroll? My response, which takes some explanation, is that we are an “and” kind of school, not an “or” school. What do I mean?
