    A Princess Speaks to the Upper School

    Sarah Culberson was adopted in infancy by a white couple in West Virginia and grew up feeling like “the brown girl who didn’t match.” As an adult interested in finding her birth parents, she learned she was descended from royalty—her birth father, Joseph Konia Kposowa, was a prince of Sierra Leone’s Mende Tribe.
