Subway Routes

to Grand Army Plaza

From the West Side of Manhattan take the #2 or #3 to Grand Army Plaza (7 stops into Brooklyn). From the East Side take the #4 or #5 to Nevins Street (2 stops into Brooklyn). At Nevins, change for the #2 or #3 (across the platform). Take the #2 or #3 three stops to Grand Army Plaza. At Grand Army Plaza, exit at "South Side of Flatbush Avenue." At top of stairs walk straight ahead, one block to Lincoln Place. Turn right and walk one and 3/4 blocks to 181 Lincoln Place. To reach Carroll Street from Lincoln Place turn left at 7th Avenue and walk four blocks to Carroll Street. Turn right and continue 3/4 of the way down the block to the school.

to 7th Avenue

The 7th Avenue stop on the Q line is the third stop in Brooklyn. Exit on the left side stairway. Walk one short block, make a quick left, and then another left onto 7th Avenue. Walk three blocks along 7th Avenue to Lincoln Place. Turn left and continue to 181 Lincoln Place. To reach Carroll Street continue to walk along 7th Avenue for four blocks. Turn right and continue 3/4 of the way down the block to the school.

to 7th Avenue

Walk north on 7th Avenue (in the direction of 8th Street, then 7th St., then 6th Street, etc.) To reach Carroll Street, keep going for about 11 blocks, then turn left on Carroll. To reach Lincoln Place, keep going for about 16 blocks until you hit Lincoln. Turn right and BCS wil be on your left.

to Union St. & 4th Avenue

The R subway line stop is at Union Street and 4th Avenue. To go to Lincoln Place, walk east to 7th Avenue, turn left, then walk two blocks to Lincoln Place. Turn right and continue 1/4 block. To go to Carroll Street, walk east to 6th Avenue, turn right, walk two blocks to Carroll Street, turn left and continue 1/4 block.

By Car

From Manhattan:

Take the Brooklyn Bridge (stay in left lane) and proceed straight to Atlantic Avenue. Turn left onto Atlantic. After approximately one mile, turn right onto Flatbush Avenue. Take Flatbush to Plaza Street. Make a right onto Plaza Street and another right onto Lincoln Place. Cross 8th Avenue and continue on Lincoln Place to the school. For Carroll Street, continue down Lincoln to Sixth Avenue. Turn left; go four blocks, turn left onto Carroll Street. You may also take the Manhattan Bridge across and follow Flatbush Avenue to Plaza Street. Continue as above to Lincoln Place or Carroll Street.

From Staten Island:

Take the Brooklyn Queens Expressway (278) to the Prospect Expressway. Exit Prospect Expressway at 10th/ 11th Avenue. Make a right at the stop sign at end of exit ramp. Make another right onto 20th Street and follow it down to 7th Avenue. Make a right. Travel along 7th Avenue for about 20 blocks until you reach the Berkeley Carroll vicinity. For Lincoln Place, make a right from 7th Avenue onto Berkeley Place, a left onto 8th Avenue, and a left onto Lincoln Place. For Carroll Street, take 7th Avenue to Garfield Place, making a left onto Garfield, a right onto Sixth Avenue, and a right onto Carroll Street.

From Queens and Long Island:

Take the Brooklyn Queens Expressway (278) to the Tillary Street ( Manhattan Bridge) exit. Exit onto Tillary, keeping left for Flatbush Avenue. Turn left. Continue along Flatbush to Plaza Street. Make a right onto Plaza Street and another right onto Lincoln Place. Cross 8th Avenue and continue on Lincoln to the School. For Carroll Street, go down Lincoln to Sixth Avenue. Turn left; go four blocks, turn left onto Carroll Street.

Street parking is limited. If you cannot find a spot on the street, there are two garages on Union Street, between 7th and 6th Avenue.
