Board of Trustees

At Berkeley Carroll, we are very proud of our active Board of Trustees. These volunteers work tirelessly to ensure that the school fulfills its mission. The 27-member Board includes current parents, past parents, and alumni of the school. Each Trustee draws on personal experience to advise the School administration on matters including finance, legal, fundraising, construction, marketing, technology, personnel and program.

Throughout the year, the Board of Trustees' work is accomplished through committees, which meet on a frequent basis. The Board committees include Executive, Finance, Committee on Trustees, Development, Buildings and Grounds, and other ad hoc committees as needed. Parents, faculty, and alumni from outside the Board are often invited to serve on these committees as well.

  • Spring 2008 Report from the Board of Trustees

"The Board will support our administration in its determination to find ways to compete successfully for the very best professionals in NYC. To succeed we’ll need to be agile recruiters and creative philanthropists, and we will need to depend upon the support of parents and alumni. But if great teaching is what goes to the heart of our identity as a school, a community and, for that matter, as a species, do we have a choice?"
