Berkeley Carroll welcomed more than 700 students and their families to the third annual BC STEAM Fair on Saturday. Attendees participated in more than 30 hands-on activities related to science, technology, engineering, arts and math that allowed them to explore, experiment, discover, design and create.
This year's featured activities were miniature car construction/racing with Nerdy Derby and foot-powered smoothie-making with Sweetcycle. Other stations included coding with Hopscotch (an iPad app), knitting, a virtual reality demonstration and DNA extraction.
The event was staffed by more than 100 faculty, staff, parent and student (middle and upper schoolers) volunteers.
